Deagon

Deagon racecourse was established in the early 1880s as Sandgate was peaking as Brisbane’s premier seaside resort.

Just 20 minutes from Eagle Farm & Doomben, Deagon is a quiet, laid-back centre for my horses while giving us the opportunity of being a stones-throw from the city.

The Brisbane Racing Club facility includes a grass, all weather sand, bullring, walker and swimming pool; and is located a short drive to Sandgate Beach for salt-water therapy.

Sunshine Coast

Holding its first race meeting in 1985, Corbould Park is a world-class facility with 66 race meetings scheduled for this season, racing more than any other track in Australia.

The track features a course proper, inside grass, polytrack, plough, swimming pool, as well as a forest and logs for a change up in routine.

My base at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club is a short 50 minute drive from Deagon.
